Topic          : Two parenting styles you have ever observed

Thesis statement  : Permissive Parenting vs. Authoritarian Parenting (Comparison and Contrast: whole to whole)

Child is the most beautiful gift of god created for the next generation. So it is important for parents to educate all of their children to be good generation in the next. But, every parent has different parenting, with different parenting that the child's behavior will also be different. There are two ways to teach the child that is often done by parents. They are permissive parenting and authoritative parenting. Both of them will make the different character of each child. I will explain the permissive parenting and authoritative parenting.

The first is a kind of permissive parenting pattern indifferent to the child. So, whatever the child wants to do is not allowed such as schools, stubborn, do a lot of activities immorality, promiscuity negative, materialistic, and so on. Usually, this parenting caused by parents who are too busy with their work, business or other matters which eventually make them forget to educate and nurture their children well. That’s way the child is only given material or property alone and the child will grow up and develop into what. When the parents do not care with their children’s growth, it will impact them to become not educated. They will not have a good attitude when they are in the environment.

Children are cared by their parents with this kind of method can develop into children who lack of attention later, feel insignificant, low self-esteem, naughty, have poor social skills, poor self-control, one associate, less respect for others, and so good when small and adult.

 The second pattern of authoritarian parenting is parenting coercive, harsh and rigid in which parents will make the rules that must be obeyed by their children without the child would know the feeling. Parents will be emotional and angry when children do things that are not in accordance with desired by parents. Mental and physical punishment will often be accepted by their children on the grounds that the child continues to remain obedient and disciplined and respect the parents who have raised him. Parents who have the authoritarian thinking will make their child became low self or not confident.

Children who grow up with this techniques usually feel not happy, paranoid, or even in fear, easy sad and depressed. They feel happy outside their home. They also hate their parent and others. But behind it, the child of educated parents typically more authoritarian can be independent, can be the parent liking, more disciplined and more responsible in life.

As a good parent, they will surely provide the best upbringing for their children. Not only for the psychological development of children but also for their future. The role of parents is very important to educate their children in a good and wise way, so the children will have a good character. All of this will be beneficial for the children and their environment.
